We flew into Jackson on Saturday, February 11th.

Click on the black arrow to see some of our shots once we were on the ground.

We headed directly to Moose Point Lodge and had this great view on our way.

Once at home, we quickly unpacked and headed out for a drive! We saw the Sleeping Indian again, doing what he does best . . . SLEEPING! Actually that's the only thing he does! But he sure does look good doing it!!!

Then we drove to Moose . . .

. . . and along the open section of the icy Moose Wilson Road.

Yep! That's ice!

Don pulled into Dornan's and we stopped for an early dinner and a cold beer.

Even Dornan's looks snowed in.

The view from their bar.

The view from their deck.

As we approached Jackson, the sun was quickly sinking behind the mountain range.

On our way Home, we took the route past the Elk Refuge and through the town of Jackson.

Jessica (our fishing guide Mikey's wife) owns Jackson Drug. Great burgers & shakes!

The Famous (Infamous) Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

Future Home of Billy's Burgers (inside the Virginian) . . . Eventually, Hopefully

As we approached Wilson, the mountains were putting on quite a show!

The next morning, we had a visitor in the front yard. We didn't see it, but our Nest camera did.

Our view from our dining room at Moose Point Lodge on February 12th.

We were up and went out for an early drive to see the snow and whatever else we could find.

It was still a little cold when we headed out.

The Teton Mountain Range.

We drove onto the Elk Refuge to see what was happening there . . .

Lots of elk on the Refuge.

The Miller House

And the usual winter residents, big horn sheep.

As we left the Elk Refuge, we saw two bald eagles in a tree next to the Miller House.

We headed toward Kelly, and spotted a couple of trumpeter swans at the edge of town trying to stay warm.

And a magpie with a treasure . . . a tuft of elk or deer hair.

We also spotted some bison in the distance.

We drove by the hot springs, but it was pretty quiet.

Heading back toward Jackson, we saw a group of bull elk just hanging around.

When we returned home, a Nest camera had recorded a backyard visitor. Could very well be the same fox Nest spotted earlier in the day.

That evening, we headed to Shooting Star for a Super Bowl party.

It's very difficult to to recognize the golf course from the dining room.

At the party, we met the newest members of Shooting Star - Tony & Candice Romo. Tony was providing color commentary throughout the game and explained some of the controversial calls. It was pretty cool to get his perspective.

That's it for the first edition of . . . Wyoming Wild.

Coming up in the next episode . . . our sleigh ride on the Elk Refuge.

Back in the saddle again!
