After our cross country drive back to Moose Point Lodge, as we turned onto Fall Creek Road, we spotted a red fox -

And a cow elk -

She spotted us, too!

After getting unpacked and settled in, we went for a quick wildlife ride -

April 30th, we made our first trip into the Grand Teton National Park -

Back at home, behind the house -

On a walk -

The evening of May 1st -

May 2nd - Back to the Grand Teton National Park -

Ruffed Grouse

At Jenny Lake -

Not sure, but we think this might have been Bruno, the father of most of 399's cubs. He had just crossed the road when came upon him and this was the best shot we could get.

What a Beast!

A moose on the Moose-Wilson Road -

The Episcopal Chapel of the Transfiguration -

On May 3rd, Back at Moose Point Lodge -

Visitors to Moose Point Lodge . . . Moose! Naturally!!!

A close-up of the baby -

Don took this close-up of the mama -

I definitely see a family resemblance, don't you?

Later that day . . .

May 4th, back into the Park -

Later that afternoon, Don was fishing down behind the house.

May 6th was an active morning in our backyard -

Later that day . . .

May 7th - Just down the road from our place.

May 8th, at Moose Point Lodge -

On our way into Jackson -

And, on a walk, back at home . . .

May 9th, in the Grand Teton National Park -

We stopped at Dornan's for a cold beer and some pizza and Don captured this image -

Early on May 10th -

On a walk behind the house later that day -

That blue bag holds my water bottle, in case you were wondering.

Don's video -

I headed back to the house and Don did a little fishing -

That evening, we waited up to see if we'd be able to see any of the Northern Lights that had been forecast across the country. Finally, after midnight, during the wee hours of the morning of May 11th, we were rewarded with an amazing show of color.

That's it for this first edition of BB's 2024 blog. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. More of the adventures during our first 30 days will follow shortly.

Until then, take good care.

Love, Barbara
